Can DFS regulate who a single mother can or can not have as a friend (male or female)visit their home? There is not a pending or past case against the mother. The gentleman has been a friend for past years and there is not any DFS pending or past case, nor is there any criminal history (speeding tickets being the ONLY legal history on records) against the friend. The mothers only involvment with DFS being that she asked for advice on how to deal with her young daughter with some behavorial problems. The friend being from out of town visited for one day only. A couple of days later, DFS paid the mother a visit and told her that she can NOT have friends over. At the same time left a strong suggestion or hint that she would loose her daughter.
Where can I find the rules for DFS that they are bound to?
does the visitor have a criminal record?
no, and neither does the mother
thought I had replied to this earlier-just in case an identical post shows up.
I think someone is yanking her chain. did she check the id of the DFS worker? she should report this to the department head. if that doesn't work (they don't start an investigation to see if any DFS worker visited her home) go higher to the next supervisor. complain loud & often!.
unless there's a drug/alcohol conviction, abuse or neglect conviction, it's very unlikely she would lose her child. however, the child's delinquency could land the child in juvy.
Hello
