    Default Ankle Monitoring Bracelet

My P.O. Says it's alright for me to go swimming with my Ankle Monitoring Bracelet on because many of her clients do and the Monitoring company says it's ok but everytime I do my bracelet shorts out after I get in range of my monitoring box at home? I don't get it and my P>O> says she doesn't get it either.

    Don't go swimming.

There's a battery in there. When you submerge the electronics in water, the water gets into the circuits and around the battery. Basically, it corrodes them. The same will happen with a TV remote if you drop it in a bucket of water.

    Default Vendor

This appears to be a vendor issue. If the ankle bracelet vendor warrants their equipment can be submerged, take your issue to them. Be aware though, water resistant might be applicable for showers and bathing and not for heavily chlorinated water such as a pool or hot tub.

This is an interesting item. I had not thought about this restriction.

I don't think authority will use item that there is no assurance about anything. They anticipate that most people who gets ankle monitoring will surely take a bath. And I think it's build to endure any element unless it's broken.
