Default Forcing one Supervisor to work for another

I work in a Business that runs 24/7 we have four different shifts and four supervisors running these four shifts. Our Plant Manager, my boss is forcing the supervisors to fill in for other supervisors on vacation during their time off. Is this legal?

It is legal so long as you are paid for every hour you work and you are paid overtime. If you wish more detail contact your Department of Labor - Wage and Hour Division and they will look into it without charge.
