My daughter is 17 yrs. old and is in the custody of Virginia Dept. of Corr. She spent a year at Bon Air Juvenile Center. They have transferred her to a residential facility until she either completes the program or turns 21. My question is can they her counselors and probation officer tell her that legally she can be made a ward of the state in order to stay at this facility but my husband will still be made responsible financially for her.
