As her power of attorney, with her written permission, I cashed my mother's merck stock a week before she passed. I am an only child and my father is deceased. My mother had a will and appointed my son as executor and he insists I must return the proceeds from the stock to her estate. The wording of the will is quite ambiguos. What laws govern this situation?
