    Default Laws on raffles

    Can an idividual just decide to hold a raffle one day and pick out a charity to give the money to? Raffle tickets would be 1.00 for a chance to win a prize. Half of the proceeds would go to the charity.

    You need a raffle license or permit. Check with the Secretary of State or with your local City administration office.
