Hi, this happened at the age of 19 and approximately 13 years ago. Plead guilty, due to under the assumption by the defense attorney that the record will be cleared after a few years with some community services.
Just recently, went to the court in VA and a police record check was conducted.
Result: NO CONVICTION, and no date of arrest indicated.
Question is: Is that mean the charge of petty theft was cleared/expunged because after so many years?
Lastly, I am applying a job where it indicates "If a case has been cleared/expunged, you don't need to disclose any arrest record."
So, is that mean I don't have to tell them? sorry for the long post, but please I need some help.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
