The gun must always be in plain sight or it will be considered concealed.
Can someone point me (link me) to the exact statutes pertaining to firearms (pistol/handgun) laws in the Commonwealth of VA (preferably a simplified version - it's late, and I have a long trip tomorrow)?
My firearm is registered to me (I am the legal owner), but I do NOT have a concealed-carry permit, so I need to know about legally transporting it.
I understand not to transport the thing loaded, and I understand that the ammo and pistol are to be stored separate and not accessible to anyone in the car (ammo in one end of the vehicle, pistol in the other end), but again, I am concerned with the exact lawful, legal statute please.
Thanks in advance...
