My sister is a TX resident and wants to divorce her TX resident husband. She will be living with my mother in WI because she is currently in an abusive situation in TX. They don't have a lot of money so she cannot hire an attorney at the moment. She and her husband are under SSI and and Medicare currently. She and her husband are both deaf and blind. I am wondering if there is an inexpensive way to proceed with the divorce while she is living in WI with my mother, and he is residing in TX. It's been difficult because of their disabilities. She would like to do a legal separation, but that is not an option in the state of TX. What is the best way to go about this? Any advice is appreciated!
