Hi everyone,
New to this forum. Trying to understand Texas vested rights as they apply to development and exemptions to vested rights that can be applied by a controlling authority (city). Specifically, from the Local Government Code, Title 7, subtitle C, Chapter 245, Sec 245.004, paragraph 11 (a):
(11) regulations to prevent the imminent destruction of property or injury to persons if the regulations do not:
(A) affect landscaping or tree preservation, open space or park dedication, lot size, lot dimensions, lot coverage, building size, residential or commercial density, or the timing of a project
My questions:
Does anyone know where/how to find specific case law on this subject?
Does anyone know of an attorney that works in this field?
Any help is appreciated.
