Is it illegal to dumpster dive in Champaign County Illinois?

Thanks for giving your state. Dumpster diving can be legal if you can gain access to the dumpster without trespassing or if you have permission to trespass. On the other hand, if you have to go on someone's property to get to the dumpster then it is not legal unless you have permission. to be safe just ask the owner if you can dive. Good luck.

If the dumbster is located on a retail store's parking lot, would that be classifiedd as private or non-private property during business hours?
