RI Utility statute of limitations?
Moved from Rhode Island in 2001, just got a call from a collection agency that I owe an electric bill from back then! Does anyone know how long it's legal to collect from me? I can't seem to google anything that tells me when that debt is no longer legally collectible.

i am not positive. i believe it is 7 years after the collection agency receives the the debt.
that is how i cleared my credit history. not smart not easy. but it works.
