    is it legal for a contractor to give out the names and phone numbers of their clients?

    Default Contractors references

    Like any business or person that you do business with they can give out your number and address, unless it is a mailing list or you request that it not be given out. Saying that any reasonable person should call and ask if you are OK with them using you as a reference.
