Hello can anyone let me know if PA is a common law state and how long do you have to be with a person?
Thanks in advance.
No, Pa. is not a common law state. The only way you can be cosidered married, is if you use or change your last name to his, with his approval. He introduces you and calls you his wife in a public setting, or he fills out inheritence forms, next of kin, or benificiary forms naming you as spouse.
