I am a new motorcycle and used car dealer. I have always been told that we cannot offer a used vehichle for sale unless we have the title to said vehicle in hand. I cannot find it anywhere in the law but thats what Ive been told. If so what about new units. Do you have to have the MSO in hand to sell a new unit. A company I buy new scooters from (CF MOTO) is no longer going to allow us to have the MSO until after the sale. I dont feel comfortable about this and am wondering if it is legal.
Here is the State's Board of Vehicles Act. It will answer your questions. There are too many variables for me to answer it here. Good luck.
