I have a friend that was living at Iron run motel in Allentown PA. He left owing nearly 700.00. Now a friend of his that did spend 3 nights there one week is being told that she is responsible for half the rent since she slept there more than two nights.

wouldn't the person who skipped out be responsible for the charges rather than the guest of who stayed over?
The guy owes 2 months back rent on a weekly rent and my friend stay with him 4 nights. The hotel manager is trying to get her to pay half. He signed for the room and invited her to stay with him. I think she would owe nothing. I feel it would be like me renting an apt and me being the only one on the lease but having my girlfriend move in. Then I skip out before the lease is up owing rent. I can't see how my girlfriend would be liable for any part of the back rent as I would be the only one who signed the agreement and she was my guest.
