If my insurace company decides my car has been totaled, and they give me the money that it was worth to replace my car, can I keep the wrecked car?

If they give you money for the car and say the car is a total loss, the title will then be a salvage title. They will sell the car to a salvor for the market value or sometimes they will allow you to purchase it from them for what they would have gotten. Do you plan on trying to put the same car back on the road if you can get it back? If so, there are several things you will have to do to get a reconstructed title.
