I have a question and I don't need a moral answer just a legal one. I don't need the moral answer as I've already contacted the company and asked for a call return slip.
However, I need an answer to end a debate at work about legality.
I had a product that was returned under warranty. The company replaced it with little to no problems. They couldn't replace exact colors so I settled for a different color. About a week after the replacement arrived, a second replacement arrived. Looking at the packing slips, it is evident that someone goofed and shipped a second time.
Legally, would I have needed to call the company and tell them about the second shipment?
Like I said I already called the company, but we are still wondering.
