I have an important question regarding what stipulations a Da or Judge can include in a criminal plea deal. The question is, can they include instructions as to how or what a client has to do regarding a pending civil suit relating to the criminal charges the client is pleading to? I would think that the Da and Judge would have no legal standing to include instructions in a criminal plea relating to a private civil suit. Comments, Case law, rules, or any other reference would be helpfull!
