    Yes it is legal, but you have to have a special permit and it requires a extense background check. After all this is over it is also up to the county sheriff's office say so. The permit fee alone is over $200.00 . Look it up online under the national firearms act I do believe is the correct name of this law permitting people to own silencers and automatic machine guns.
