I need to know if they really can charge you with disorderly conduct when you were in your own home, never left?
My neighbor called the police when my Autistic son was calming down from a melt down/temper tantrum at 6:41pm the police showed up. Which immediately caused my son to re-explode. I had asked the officer to leave, which he said he does not have to. The whole time my son is flipping out. After a few minutes of this, while he was knocking on the neighbors door I opened up mine and asked the officer to call for an ambulance my son needs to go to the hospital for possible admittance, which he firmly responded " I won't do that". So I closed my door and called 911, who was the first officer to respond? It was him.
Yesterday, I received a copy of a letter addressed to my landlord that this is the 3rd violation and he needs to evict me, and that I am being charged with a disorderly conduct.
If we do get evicted, I will loose our home, my HUD, and my son because I only have $494/mth from SSI and $300 from child support (which in not on a regular payment--are times I do not receive that). So, it is very noticeable that I cannot afford a place with out the help of HUD.
