I am being taken to small claims court for matter involving a car accident. The plaintiff is friends with a constable. The constable called my insurance company and was asking them why they are not paying the plaintiff's claim. The constable introduced himself as a constable as well as a friend of the plaintiff. He introduced himself to me as an impartial party who wanted to help settle this matter out of court. Is any of this legal?
You should file a complaint with the entity who hires the constable - is that the City? Village? county? Parish? Also, you should file a complaint with t einsurance co. It has no right to divulge your information to anyone without a court order or without your written permission.
