My daughter is 12 years old, he father remarried almost 5 years ago. Needless to say it has been a complete roller coaster ride for us all. The update is now that he and his wife are getting a divorce, they have a 2 1/2 yr old son, my daughters half brother, whom she absolutely adores and he adores her. My daughters dad had shown me texts from his wife that she is accusing my daughter of physically abusing her brother. He told me he has never seen anything from our daughter that would insinuate this. His wife tells him long after the fact as well as that it ssems to happen when he is not around. Now her thing is, that she will not let him see is son if my daughter is around, essentially never allowing my daughter to see her brother. She even stated she will get a PFA against my daughter to make sure she is never around their son. I am saddened by this (for my daughter). There has never been anything of this come up to police or others.
Is there anything I can do or suggest to him. Does she have the right to say this about my daughter? What do I tell my daughter? Should I retain an attorney in the event she does accuse my daughter of such things?
