    Default harassment

    is it legal for a detective working on a case to come up to the mother of the suspect who is in jail and start a conversation in reference to the case and then proceed to keep talking to me about him

    It is difficult to understand your question. It is not clearly stated but I will try. It is legal for a private investigator or anyone else to have a conversation with your mom as you described.
