I am a victim of cyberbullying (insults, ridicule) & discrimination (by deleting my threads in in the forum which others with identical threads or off-topic posts were not) in a privately owned chat forum.
When I post about cyberbullying (experience, laws, info, etc) their excuses for deleting range from off-topic to trolling.
There are posts from others (on & off site with similar complaints of being censored/discriminated against as well) I complained to the moderators, then the owner of the website.
The moderator(s) basically told me it's a private website, no free speech & there was nothing I could do about it. When nothing was done I posted directly to the forum & it was promptly deleted by a moderator. Then I filed a complaint with the FCC.
Nearly all my posts to the website's forums have been deleted as well as personal info from my private profile such as job, interests, quotes, favorite websites that included fcc.gov, bbb.org a few cyberbullying websites.
This website boasts it's a neutral forum yet how can there be neutrality when there is censorship & discimination of certain members but not others? The website also has a conflict of interest in that much of their funding comes from ad space of the very industry (DSL Industry) it says they are monitoring. Something is really fishy about this website.
I have screenshots of everything.
I filed a complained to the FCC about the cyberbullying but can anything be done about the discrimination?![]()
