Default Don't think I have a case but figured i'd at least try

I bought an prescription drug from an online store that does not require an prescription that caused me to get real sick and put into the ICU... I was so out of it at the time and weak that I kept telling the Dr. no I didn't take any medications I know was wrong but at that time I didn't know the name of the drug because my mind was out of it.. If you go to Beers Blogs: Dangers of using the online pharmacy you will see pictures of what this medication caused to me... I wish I would have told the Dr. because I think that I wasn't treated the way I would have been if he knew what it was.. I still get real bad headaches and my body gets weak at time my taste is not what it used to be and my vision gets blurry a lot now...

I couldn't get your blog to fully load but from the pictures (hard to see) it looks like an anaphylactic (allergic) reaction. if the online pharmacy is in the US
you definitely have a case. alot of overseas pharmacies (especially in the developing world) sell counterfeit meds.

Default Hello I am respoding back to your response

I bought the medication from www.edandmore.com on there website they say "the services provided through the site or the content shall be governed by the internal laws of Vanuatu." I know it came from overseas because they sent it in an unmarked package without there name on it and it took weeks to get to me.

now the drug I did buy was from a US pharmaceutical company in Houston Texas
    Spier Pharmaceuticals
    Suite # 854
    14781 Memorial Drive
    Houston, TX 77079
    USA

I do still have some of the empty pill packaging from when I bought it with the drug company name on it...

sorry, still can't see the picture (too small). you can PM (for privacy reasons) me with the name of the med if you want & I can do a look-up for you. do you mean you purchased it on the Spier website & it arrived via EdandMore? file complaints with the FDA too. when you were admitted did they do any type of tox screen/drug analysis to find out the type of medication? you might be able to pursue legal action against the ER/ICU doctor if they didn't do a full workup/tox screen to id the med, especially since you are continuing to have problems. it doesn't matter if you didn't notify your doctor at the time you were admitted or during (the hospital is required to do this during or after admission--esp after--since you were out of it). make sure you get a copy of all your medical records since the reaction.

these sites may have info about the pharmacy:

p.s. no one would expect you to be coherent on admission to the ICU so don't fret about that

I wonder if there is enough residue from the package to do a spectrograph (find out what was in the med).
