Is it legal to run on-line contests(ie: COGRADULATIONS, your e-mail has won)?

From what I can tell, most of these "Congratulations!! You have won fill-in-the-blank" emails are scams. Some will mention a well-known company, like Pepsi or Google; in that case, it is easy to verify whether the company runs any such contest. Usually, it is all fake.

I'm not sure about that. But for all I know it is since most of those kinds of emails are actually spams.

As far as im concerned if you think its not legal then you can ignore it. If you recieve that kind of line i think you can feel it right away that its not real.
