We were approached by our landlord who has some chiropractic equipment in his storage area that was left by a chiropractic tenant that broke his lease and abandoned the equipment. The chiropractor literally just stopped paying rent and coming into the office. They sent the chiropractor letters stating he had 90 days to remove the equipment and it's been way past 90 days. We know the chiropractor personally and he's going bankrupt and some of the equipment was leased. The landlord wants to sell us the equipment to get rid of it. He doesn't want it in his storage area anymore. He considers the property abandoned. Can he sell us the equipment?
