I have tried to find out information in regards to this, but can not find anything.

The situation is this, my friend was told by a social worker in Guilford County that it is illegal for her to drink since she is the custodial parent.

I have never heard of such a thing. I tried finding a state statute in regards to this, but haven't found anything.

The problem is, her ex is trying to get custody of their child and he is using any sneaky things that he can to discredit her, because he is behind on his child support and is now wanting custody so he doesn't have to pay.

She believes that his mother or sister called social services to say that she is an unfit mother and the social workers have now let him have temporary custody until she can prove that the allegations are false.

Any help would be appreciated.
