Ship packages for someone

Is it legal to buy merchandise for someone out of the country. Then ship it to wherever they wish? Merchandise would be clothing, electronics, household goods.

I was offered a job to get paid for doing personal shopping for someone through the internet. All pre-paid. All I need to do is shop for the specific items and then send via pre-paid UPS account.

I will be sure not to spend a dime of my own money and only use money orders or money grams so they won't be able to get my bank account information.

I'm actually wondering the same thing?? I answered an add from Monster.com regarding getting paid to ship packages that I received off to another country. The package would be delivered to me then I would receive a postal lable to send it on to another country.

You should never ship out of the country to anyone you don't know, including a business! Household items that can be purchased by you can be purchased by legitimate people from overseas via the internet and shipped directly to them from the merchant. As an exporter, I am very familiar with international trade regulations, and you could get in serious trouble for doing this.

This is definitely a scam, and you'll end up with empty bank accounts, or civil/criminal liability from the federal government.
