I work for a resturant in ny state and when we are schduled 6 to 10 we might not get out until 11:00. I don't understand how this can be legal. I don't mind staying a few minutes late and i know some times it gets busy but I dont think its right or fare to me that i have to stay and extra hour.
Under NY law you are to be paid for every minute you work. There is no exception for an extra hour or so to close up---clean up---shut down--count the money---...
