I would call the police if I had been threatened with bodily (or property) harm or death verbally or in writing (including texting). I would call even if the threat was implied (i.e. "I know where you live").

What can be done is someone sends you a threat via text? If you have the proof right on your text, I would think something can be done. Can anything be done legally?

Have the phone company, issued your transcript and send a claims form (that a suit, may be subscribed by law, because of the action in your name) and send it too the district attorneys office.. Have the phone company send a copy of that conversation to the district attorneys office and they'll have 10 (ten) days, to make a claim (report) on the action, in question..
