I am a service provider on a web site uShip.com. In a nut shell we bid on shipment listings to transort cars, boats, pets and or whatever else the shipper wants to relocate.

As an independent company we have our own policies with when and what payments are accepted just like some retail store do or do not accept credit cards and or checks.

Recently the uShip site has executed a payment service they are calling SafePay and are forcing me and others to accept this type of payment from any customer who wants to use it. In addition they are pushing the SafePay method to the shipper.

In essence this payment service is operating like an escrow account and uShip is accepting payment in full and holding the funds in a virtual account for distribution to me (for a fee) once they receive the "payment code" which is given to me after the shipment is delivered and the shipper releases the code.

The question is can the auction web site force me to accept their payment terms for service I sell to an auction buyer? This would be the equivilent of ebay requiring their sellers to accept paypal... There is a BIG difference between offering a payment service form and forcing a payment form. See below link;
NO SAFEPAY ACCEPTED.
