My x husband died my son who is 24 mentally retarded from birht resided
with him
He has a guardian ..i was not notified of the death i found out from a friend ..
i havent had any contact with him since my x and i had outs over 4 years ago
I dont know what to do?
I wonder since i am his biological mother (he has a stepmom) do they have to notify me of this
He receives social security though i dont want to disrupt his life he listened to his father about me and bad was said more than u know
I live 140 miles away from longisland
Was i suppose to be notified by his guardian or someone?
The funeral wa not posted no obituary nothing I called the cemetary and confimed was given funeral home name confirmed that he is deceased
sorry for rambling i need answers
My other children will not talk to me either what rights do i have i am his mother
