is it legal to force the employees of a company to pay 10% out of pocket every time thay use the company credit card machine to ring up a bill. where i work the servers are compelled to pay the owners 10% of the total credit card charge. if the bill is $100.00 say and the customer pays by credit card the employee has to pay the boss $10.00.......legalor not?
If the company has established policies about it, and the employees have been informed about beforehand, I don't see any illegalities about it. It's the company's decision to impose rules on its credit card usage. The same way that employees have the choice to use the credit card or not.
