recording my childs cell conversations

My ex is a borderline personality. I have custody of our son, but she has liberal visitation. She has essentially ignored him for 12 years, suuddenly they are best buddies. Though i have been cautiously optimistic about this, there are recent signs that the realtionship may be very unhealthy. Is it legal for me to record my son's cell converations with his mother withour either of their knowledge? he is a minor.

the minor is your son, in your legal care. you have the responsablity of keeping him safe. even from an estranged mother. you control his safty. keep up the good job dad.
