Default Check yourself out of the hospital?

I was admitted to the hospital 5 weeks ago for complications with my pregnancy, however, the babies always have been and continue to be growing healthily. My symptoms do not seem to be severe enough to prompt the doctors to deliver, but nobody can seem to explain to me why, then, I have to sit here on bed rest when there is no doubt I would be much better rested at HOME!

I agree with Judge. They might ask you to sign a statement that you were leaving "against medical advice," to protect themselves from a future liability. But I could imagine that under certain conditions if they wanted to keep you, but you wanted to leave, they might try to go to court to ask a judge to decide, based on the medical situation, to make you stay even if you didn't want to, but you would be entitled to present your side. Is there something you haven't mentioned like, you're a minor, you're going to have 2 or more children from this pregnancy and are at high risk for problems, etc?

You could try to leave on the hospital and rest in your home. It can give you much comfort while recovering yourself. You just need some discharge paper and some papers that you might need to sign.
