Default Mayor Blumberg running for third term.

Is it legal for Mayor Blumberg to be campaigning for a third term as Mayor? The law limits terms to two.

It term limit WAS previously 2. In 2008 there was a vote to extend the limit to 3 consecutive 4 year terms. It was passed and bloomberg signed it into law in November.

Why would we not want to keep him as mayor anyway? He is a self made billionaire, so we should have him higher up than mayor. Who knows more how to make something from nothing. And, last I checked, he still worked for the city for free. Drawing $1 a year as salary. That helps tax dollars

"As mayor of New York, Bloomberg declines to receive a city salary, accepting remuneration of $1.00 annually for his services. "
    to quite Wikipedia

I think ALL of our elected officials should dray a $1 salary this year to help the American tax payer. Thats right, each and every one. Were being asked to do more with less, so why can't they?

Only Dictators like to stay longer and NOTHING is for Free we should know that by now.

Yes he makes only $1 as salary but I keep paying more and more and more on taxes.

Where did the surplus go from a few years ago? to red banners at Central Park or some other stupid idea?

What did he do really for the city other than raising taxes? raising the tolls? and give out more fines to small businesses.

8 Years later and we still don't see anything at ground zero.

Is Mike really the ONLY person who should stay as Mayor because there is no other? 18million people and nobody else cen challenge him because he does make only $1 Dollar. ( plus favors )

It's Illegal to run fo a third term, I wouldn't mind if he did run again after 4 years for another 2 terms if this is what the people want.He did not let Gulliani stay a few more days in office when everything was really upside down.

I will not vote for him.
