drug test are invalid

i eat poppy muffins 7 days a week for breakfast. i dont use illegal drugs or fot that matter i dont even drink beer or alcohol. if i take a drug test i will test positive for illegal drugs. poppy rolls- bagels-muffins are sold at the stop and shop every day legally. in my opinion drug tests are invalid.

The poppie seed defense isn't going to fly. If you knew eating the poppy seed muffins could give you a positive drug test why did you eat them everyday? No it doesn't make the make the drug test invalid unless you can back it up with a hair folicle test. Hair follicles are a long-term record of your drug use, supposidly, and otherwise. There is a threshold that is when drugs are excreted into the hair follicles. Poppy seeds don't have enough for it to register on a hair follicle test.
If your employer has a zero tolerence with a drug and alcohol policy, I'd change eating habits. A failed drug test will follow you on background checks for future employers.
