I'm trying to find out what makes a holographic codicil in Louisiana legally binding. My mother recently passed and about a year ago she hand wrote a codicil and addendum to her last will and testament. It was hand written by her, signed and dated by her also. I really need to know if it is legal in this state b/c her husband is trying to sell off the exact things that she wrote in the codicil that she wanted me to have. I really want to follow her wishes but I need help and information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
