I am specially looking for any code or laws that require the city to install a stop light N distance from the curb or road. I recently swerved to miss a vehicle and hit a stop light in town and knocked over the stop light. The stop light itself is right on the edge of the curb and I am just curious if there would be any ordinances in regards to that. I suspect they will try to go through me or the insurance for repairs, but just wanted to do research to ensure they were abiding by the laws as well. If you know of anything please point me to it.
Thanks,
Donavan
