We have been having a lot of trouble with some neighborhood children. They are constantly coming onto our property whether we are home or not. One of them has repeatedly let himself into our home, and into our garage by getting into my car and using the door opener! We have told the kids over and over that they are not to do things like that, and will no longer be welcome at our house if they continue to do so. A few weeks ago, one of them brought a brick into our yard and theatened to hurt my son if he keeps telling him to go away! This was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I went over to the parents and politely let them know what has been going on. I also told him that the were no longer welcome on our property, and to keep them away. The parents agreed, but I got the impression that they could really care less. We have had to tell those children many times since then to leave. What else can I do? We are concerned that they may hurt my son, or themselves. I don't want to be responsible for what they do while we are gone, and we have had neighbors tell us that they do play in our yard while we are not home. These children range in age from 6-9!
