Please help - rental property damamge
I took my landlord to court for my security deposit and I just got a letter putting the judgement on hold because she is claiming she kept it for flood damage that happened 3 years ago. What is the statute of limitations on this type of damage? Does she have a case??
(I have a letter from the Fire Chief stating that I could not have caused the damage because I was out of town when it happened.)
