My ex and i have been divorced for almost 6 years now. he ended up with the kids (long story). We do have joint custody, and i'm supose to get my kids every other weekend, and holidays ect... but i have not seen my kids since the summer of 2011 because he won't let me. He tells the kids the reason why is because i won't help out financially, I have reciepts showing that ive gave him money, bought the kids school supplies and shipped them to the kids, i even have a hand written paper saying i gave him money for water bill. My oldest 16 won't talk to me because my ex has put it in their heads that if i don't help then that means that i don't love them. i have emails saying that if i send money then he will send it back. My sons birthday card "return to sender" I sent my daughter a birthday card she said she never got it but i didn't recieve it back. I have emails from my daughter saying that he said that they were a burden, and calling her a slut, and a hoe and stuff like that, which to me that is mental abuse. And last month he signed her in to a mental hospital. My 14 yr. old and i have been talking seacretly she just wants to live with me cus they act like they dont care about her, they treat her differently then the other kids. Anything would be helpful. thank you

Why does dad have primary custody? Why haven't you taken visitation back to court and why haven't you paid any court ordered child support? School supplies, a water bill and a little money on the side doesn't amount to housing, clothing, food, medical and etc.. Evidently dad cares enough about the daughter to seek medical intervention about behavior problems. Sorry but a 14 year old with a medical/behavior issues secretly communicating with a non custodial parent skirting child support...I don't see custody changing hands. Sorry for being so blunt.

First of all, if you have legal joint custody, and he hasn't let you see the kids, you have a reason to take him to court. Why haven't you done that yet?
