My ex has tried to mislead me on all sorts of stuff regarding our custody order

Our custody order states that I am to be supervised under his discretion during visitations with my kids. My ex has told me time and time again that he could get in trouble for letting me bring the kids to my husband and mine home. Is this true? What are the limitations of this order? Numerous times he has arranged for me to take the kids to my home and bailed many many times at the last min.. So to say the least I am working on getting the order changed, but until then I need to know my limitations.

I am not an attorney and this is not legal advice. If there is a court order in place, it should identify the rights and therefore limitations you and your ex-husband's have regarding custody. Does this make sense? While you indicated that you are "working on getting the order changed," you would be well served in contacting an attorney for legal options.

If the order says supervised 'under his discretion' then he would not be in trouble for letting you take the kids to your home, it is up to him, that's what discretion means. If he keeps bailing start sending him registered letters requesting visits but be prepared to have them at his home with his supervision. I do agree with Seeker, if you want to modify it you'll need a lawyer.

Have you consulted any lawyer in this regard? You need to know the laws properly & for that you need to go to a lawyer.
