Is it legal to ship alcohol to other states and vice-versa?
with USPS, you cannot ship alcoholic beverage. You cannot even use the box.
there are some companies that allow that shipping of alcohol but i guess there are taxes involved.
Hello, I have been reading this forum since many days and I have liked it so much and it is very awesome for people like me...! Hawaii is a place where it is legal to ship wine to, anyways it has limitations too. Any wineries shipping mainly to any one of Hawaii's islands has to have a Direct Wine Shipper's Permit, approved and issued by the local land commission. It also has to be registered with the Hawaii Department of Taxation. Currently, wineries with the proper approval are also only allowed to ship up to 6 9-liter cases per year to any particular household, and they have to cover all general excise and gallongae taxes.
Hi,
I'm in MA where it's not legal to ship alcohol to or from for commercial purposes, but I've never had a problem. Just make sure it's super well packed (I do a well padded box with the booze/beer/wine in it and then put that box in another well padded box). I'd maybe wait to see if anyone on here has had any cross-border issues.I've never done it across the country's border, though. That being said, I know of one person who had some Peychaud's bitters shipped here (which is actually legal since they're not potable) and it was confiscated. I have saw many people getting Waxing there and looked too much beautiful. If you're comfortable with looking the post office employee in the eye and lying when they ask if there's anything "liquid, fragile, flamable, or perishable," then it's worth considering.
I suppose one would then have to consider whether it is illegal to ship Cigarettes from one state to another. As to cigarettes, each State claims tax and places a tax stamp on each pack of cigs. It is "bootlegging" (a crime) to transport cigs from one State to another without paying the end user state tax. AND WE STARTED A REVOLUTION OVER ENGLAND'S TAXING ON TEA? LOL.
I have a friend who has a birthday coming up and I want to send him a nice bottle of scotch to celebrate. However, since I am in Colorado and he is in California, I need to ship it to him. Now, because he and I are well past legal drinking age, I thought shipping a single bottle of alcohol wouldn't be a big deal. Not so. I have already tried UPS, FedEx and the post office and they all refused the package. If some body wants to get his or her on line business at the top of all search engines then try suchmaschinenoptimierung who have years of satisfactory experience.
Hi,
I think that you can ask DHL, Fed Ex, and UPS and ask them if your mom lives someplace you can send alcohol to. I know that UPS ships wine, but I also know that it's frequently limited by local laws. I used to make films while going there with the help of filmbelichtung that has very much experience in doing so.
Thanks

Hi,
Also keep in mind that Violating the USPS laws is not a great idea so either find another way or keep it for her until she visits next time.
Thanks

Do the shipping laws vary from state to state? Or are they the same?
