Default Can Daycare Post Pictures Of My child On Internet?

My daughter is 5 years old and had been going to a daycare/learning center for the last couple of years. A few months ago it was brought to my attention that a worker there had posted quite a few pictures of the kids(mostly of my daughter) on her facebook. We imediatly talked to her boss. Sha told us she would take care of it. And also that someone else had complained and she had been warned once already. A month later there were more pics on her facebook. We called her boss again and she hung up on us. So we pulled our daughter from this center.

Is it illegal for her to post pictures of her on her facebook? Or for the center to allow this?

I m asking because i refused to pay the remainder of my bill and am now being taken to court for the balance.

    Any thoughts??

I am not sure about this, but I do know that you have to sign a release for your childs photo to be put in the newspaper, so I would think that you would have to sign a release if they are posting her picture on the internet!

They can not publish the pictures without consent in which this case it would have to come from the childs legal guardian.

Print the pictures and make sure you have proof and evidence when you go to court. It is illegal for her to have them up without your consent, especially if you have already asked them to be taken off. Make sure you print them or save them, right with her facebook information.. if she deletes her profile you'll have no proof.
