Is it illegal to carry $10,000 cash on your person if you are driving across country?

If your are driving within the country and not leaving, then no ... unless it is stolen or something. It just seems dangerous to me ... if anyone finds out, you could get robbed.

you can carry as much cash as you wish,just have a reciept of said amt,or at least documentation of where you got it.That way IF you are stopped for some reason,you have proof its yours and wont have to go thru a lot of crap about it.

It is legal to carry a large amount of money across state lines. It is dangerous to carry that much money on you regardless of where you are going. It would be a good idea to have some document stating where this money came from.
