Twitter is caught in a legal thicket after a court in France demanded that it ID users who posted anti-Semitic tweets. In France, racist and hateful speech is illegal. In the U.S., speech that many would consider reprehensible is allowed under the banner of free expression. Twitter is a U.S. company, but with the Internet, "things get fuzzy," noted tech analyst Rob Enderle.
