I own 2 homes one I live in and one I rent (condo) I have not paid the mortgage on the condo for 4 months since I don't have a job and have been using the money to survive. I was out of the house for 10 minutes and when I got home there was a notice on my door that the sheriff tried to deliver me a summons, well 15 minutes later I discovered that he delivered it to my tenant and it was addressed to me at where I live not the condo. Is this legal, she opened it and read it. I have already asked her to leave since I knew I was not going to be able to keep it. Can they deliver a summons to her when it was intended for me at a different address?
